Classic or skating style is up to you. 107 km cross country tracks in the region take you to the towns of Zell am See, Kaprun, Piesendorf, Niedernsill, Bruck, Fusch, as far as Maishofen and on towards Saalfelden. There are many possible combinations and many of the trails can be combined into a network that is well worth seeing. With a little effort you can even reach the adjacent 200 km network of trails in the Pinzgauer Saalachtal region.

The Kaprun glacier trail im Glacier ski area Kitzsteinhorn is ideal for high-altitude training and for well-trained cross-country skiers. Not only does the altitude of up to 2.900 meters above sea level have a beneficial effect on the training results, the glacier trail is usually already in operation from autumn. On it, professionals will find great training conditions almost all year round. If you can't get enough of cross-country training even at night, you should go to one of the floodlit trails in the region. The Tauern SPA trail in Kaprun, the night trail in Sch├╝ttdorf / Zell am See or the trail near Schloss Kammer in Maishofen are illuminated. Over several kilometers, these trails offer great terrain and good conditions for evening cross-country skiing and skating rounds.
